Summer Sangria Slush
It is FINALLY May, which means – summertime is fast approaching. I don’t know about y’all but this year has seriously dragged on in the worst way and I am READY for some summer lake life. For the past few years, my go to drink at the lake has been this super easy sangria slush. I suppose it is really more of a red wine slush considering the lack of fruit, but it has lemonade mix in it so it works? There is pretty much a large tupperware of this slush in the freezer at all times and it is pretty fantastic. The best part about this is that as long as you have a lemony component and red wine – it almost always works out!! Have a few White Claws leftover? Toss them in! Have some lemonade concentrate? Toss it in! I even added an entire bottle of champagne once when my mom bought WAY too much after my PhD defense – it was absolutely fantastic. The possibilities are seriously endless.
Summer Sangria Slush
Ingredients
- 1 bottle sweet red wine
- 1 can rose bubbly
- 1 can sprite zero
- 1 packet crystal light lemonade
- 1 lemon spiked seltzer
Instructions
- mix all together and stir until crystal light dissolves then freeze in large container – make sure that the mixture only fills 1/2 of the container as it will expand as it freezes (trust me)
- freeze overnight
- use sharp object (I usually use a paring knife LOL) to break apart the slush then scoop it up to serve

Yum! This sounds so good! I can’t wait to try it at our first party this summer! And yes I agree – these months have really dragged. Looking so forward to the sunshine!
