25 Days of Cookies: Day 24
Merry Christmas Eve!!! This is my FAVORITE day of the year. In honor of this special occasion, I bring you a gem from my Grandma Sharon’s recipe collection: Bev’s Cream Cheese Bars! Bev was my grandma’s sister and let me tell you, she knew her easy festive recipes. This recipe utilizes the Pillsbury crescent roll dough and could not be any easier to make!
Bev’s Cream Cheese Bars
Ingredients
- 2 pkgs crescent roll dough
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Topping
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup nuts
- ½ cup sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Put 1 pkg crescent roll dough on the bottom of an 8×8 or 9×13 pan
- Combine cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla and beat until well mixed
- Spread cream cheese mixture on top of dough
- Add second pkg of dough on top
- Brush with egg white
- Mix rest of topping ingredients and then sprinkle over top of dough
- Bake for 30-35 minutes
