Mary Mauss’ Melting Moments

On this 15th day of December, I brink you Mary Mauss’ Melting Moments! These cookies are SO good. They just melt in your mouth and the frosting on top gives it a little something special.

Mary Mauss’ Melting Moments

Course Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • cup flour
  • 1 cup butter soft
  • ¾ cup cornstarch
  • cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup nuts optional

Frosting

  • 3 tbsp butter soft
  • cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • dash salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F
  • Cream butter, vanilla, sugar, cornstarch and flour
  • Add nuts
  • Roll into small balls then flatten
  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • While cooling, make powdered sugar icing by combining all ingredients
  • Frost cookies when cooled then top with sprinkles, if desired
