Cranberry Jam

Cue the Bing Crosby Christmas music because it is officially the HOLIDAY SEASON!! YAS! It is Christmas time in my book, which means it is cranberry season!! I LOVE all things cranberry and this cranberry jam is pretty much always in my fridge through the months of November and December. It is kind of like cranberry sauce but sweeter. It goes SO well with biscuits and toast. I also use it as the filling for Christmas poptarts and I even use it as a condiment with a turkey sandwich.

Cranberry Jam

Sweet and a little tart cranberry jam

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • t tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 green apple peeled and diced

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring all to a boil
  • Simmer on low for about 1 hour
  • Remove from heat and cool
  • Store in mason jar (or airtight container)

Notes

-Adjust sugar levels to taste
-Puree mixture and reduce further if you like a smoother jam
