Skinny Sesame Chicken
My boyfriend really loves Asian food. While I also like it, I really don’t like how wildly unhealthy it is. This recipe has lots of flavor with a lot less fat. This way, we both get what we want!
Skinny Sesame Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast cut in 1 inch chunks
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 3 tsp garlic minced
- 3/4 tbsp ginger minced
- 1/2 tsp sriracha
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in skillet and then brown chicken breast, set aside
- In a blender (I use a small Ninja Fit), blend together the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, sriracha, chicken broth, soy sauce, honey and corn starch until smooth
- Pour mixture into warm skillet and heat up
- When sauce starts to thicken, add chicken to sauce and mix well so that all the chicken pieces are coated
- Continue cooking until desired consistency is met
- Remove from heat and top with sesame seeds
Notes
This is delicious over rice!
This meal also works really well to meal prep for weekday lunches.
