Mary Mauss Cookies are the star on this 22nd Day of December. Mary was one of my Grandma’s dear friends and her cookie recipe is legendary. The best part of these cookies is the little crunch from the Rice Krispies!
THE Mary Mauss Cookies
My grandma has a lot of cookie recipes from Mary Mauss, but this is by far the best one. These cookies are SO good with a fun little crunch from the Rice Krispies!
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter soft
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
- 3½ cups flour
- ½ cup nuts
Instructions
- Combine dough then refrigerate overnight
- Scoop into 1-2 tbsp balls then bake at 325°F for 8-10 minutes
