Fruitcake Cookies
Candied cherries, dates and nuts come together in a holiday cookie that is sure to make spirits bright

Cuisine 25 Days of Cookies
- 1 ⅔ cups flour
- 1 cup butter soft
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp buttermilk
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ cups dates
- 8 oz candied cherries
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup pecans
- ½ cup walnuts
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350°F
Cream butter and sugar
Add egg, buttermilk and vanilla
Add flour, salt and baking soda
Fold in fruit, lemon zest and nuts
Bake for 13-15 minutes, until edges start to brown
